Terms of Service
Last updated: April 29, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the text-to-speech.website service ("the Service"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. The Service
text-to-speech.website provides an online tool that converts text into synthesized speech. The Service is provided "as is" without registration. Some features may rely on third-party providers and are subject to availability.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Generate content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or that infringes the rights of others;
- Impersonate any real person without their consent, including for the purpose of misleading listeners or committing fraud;
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to circumvent rate limits or access controls;
- Distribute malware or interfere with the operation of the Service;
- Use the Service to violate applicable law or regulation in your jurisdiction.
We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate access at our discretion if we believe the Service is being misused.
4. Your content and the audio you generate
You retain ownership of the text you submit. We claim no rights over your input.
Generated audio is provided to you under a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, distribute, and create derivative works from, including for commercial purposes, subject to these Terms and any applicable laws. The voices used by the Service are the property of their respective providers; while the audio output is yours to use, the underlying voice models are not licensed to you for redistribution as a synthesis engine.
You are solely responsible for the content you generate and how it is used.
5. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, code, and trademarks, is the property of text-to-speech.website and its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights to those materials beyond personal use of the Service itself.
6. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that audio output will meet your expectations.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, text-to-speech.website and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, our total aggregate liability shall be limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (if any) and (b) USD 50.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless text-to-speech.website, its operators, and its licensors from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, the provisions that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will remain in effect.
10. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent change. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable international consumer-protection law and, where applicable, the law of the jurisdiction in which the Service is operated, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
